i wouldn't in the past though these days i pretty much only tag people i know anyway

the only place i really find the medium divide doesn't exist at all is in murdergames, because everyone gets to know everyone

IME people who play from obscure canons are usually thrilled to get tags, regardless of the canon the other character is from

It's a sort of "hey someone thought my character was interesting enough to want to tag them, neat!" sort of thing

I usually approach it with an OOC "hey, so here's the deal with my character and I thought this would make for an interesting combination, do you have any preferences for prompts?" first but I've never had anyone say no

I just hear this voice in my head going "who do YOU think you are that your character is so interesting"

I find what really helps is to have a good info post in the character's journal
