I don't plan on getting back into playing it regularly, as both of my controls that I had for years are still kinda on the fritz. (One completely fucked up when I tried fixing the analog stick; the functional one still has issues, but far less severe.)
However, I needed a game to test, and I have actually never played a Souls game, despite my interest in them… so I chose to give the game that started it all a whirl for a bit.
More than anything, I wanted to see what the character creation was like, specifically when it came to creating a Black person. She, uh… she looks a bit burnt.
Afterwards, I hopped into the intro stage. It took me a while to get used to the combat… although the overly sensitive triggers did not help matters in that regard. (Can't even have my blasted fingers on them without performing an action.) I did manage to get in a few parries and ripostes in though, which pleased me immensely.
After that, I saved, quit, then restarted the game to see if everything loaded properly. It most certainly did, and I put the console to sleep, satisfied that everything was running well.
Now, I was looking at PS3 controllers to replace the ones that I had, but I very recently found out that PS4 controllers can work with the system, and wirelessly at that. Now I'm looking at eBay to see what's available, because fuck Amazon and their overpriced arses.
I found a very fetch rose gold controller that I want to make my main… but I also don't want to drop money on it right this instant, what with my finances not being 100% certain. (They're a lot more stable than they have been for the past several months, but still.)
