Last night after we got home I was brushing my hair to pull it up and the ends are gross so this happened

I even trimmed my bangs.

hours later I realized it was a stress/manic reaction. thankfully it turned out perfect if slightly short.

I messed up and had caffeine yesterday and I payed for it later. I'm still kinda paying for it.

Starfirez: I last dyed it in July so it is about 3 months old. I dye it 2-4 times a year often before a big thing or holidays.

Starfirez: I keep it vibrant by only washing it once a week, using a low poo type shampoo with no sulfates, keeping it pulled up at home, using good conditioner. I loosely follow the curly girl method. I started so I could keep my color vibrant longer but my hair has never been healthier.

oh also cooler showers not so hot. that took time to get more used to though and I don't always follow on it.

I love it! I was also coming in here to ask about your hair. it always looks so perfectly vibrant!

Starfirez: low poo means less of the cleansers that are in shampoo. like sulfates.

When I dye it I bleach the new growth first coming down into the previous color just a bit. then the next day once my hair is throughly dry I put in my dye. I use the brand n'rage but it is getting hard to find. and I leave the dye in for a minimum of 2 hours and up to 4 hours.

the dye says to only leave it for 20 minutes but I feel longer works better. give the hair time to really soak up the dye.

{ Willow } : thank you! if you have any questions I'm happy to answer them

When I dye with Adore I leave it on overnight, if I'm recoloring an area I deep shampoo it and thoroughly dry before so it's thirsty.

I wash with head and shoulders and/or this suave shampoo I have they are both good at stripping all the good out of my hair and removing any build up. even though I don't use much in my hair we have hard water so there is always some build up overtime.
Heather/Sanura🦩
they tell you not to but I have to use some conditioner after I bleach my hair is so dry and snarled at that point but I haven't had it effect the dye.
