Yes! I feel this HARD. Long term arcs can be personally satisfying but there's not a lot of fun for the group since a lot of time the other characters are just there as literal side characters to what is going on or there in the background or kinda as props.

So I just satisfy those urges with fanfiction.

And I say this as someone whose both been tempted by long-term arcs and also been shunted aside in the past with my character being used as a prop for others which has.......definitely not been a fun feeling.

^ yeah that's always 1 concern, I never want to use other people as a prop
