if they're dissolvable stitches then it may be normal. I had a loose string in my mouth after a while with wisdom teeth

ther's a mix of dissolvable and permanent

Yeah, it's normal with dissolvable.

The same thing happened with my cat after her spay surgery, she wound up with a string poking out of her belly for a couple weeks before the stitches fully dissolved.

Pay attention for any signs that it's irritating the area, but otherwise it's nothing to worry about.
