[Sewing, creativity and such] So I really want to start filming what I sew and stuff. but I am feeling really self-conscious about it. Like that I need the right light or the right time of day and that the boys have to be asleep and so on and so forth.

But I also want the challenge of trying to get things done every week

honestly even looking at big youtubers (hell, look at early crit role vids) usually they start out with shitty sound and picture quality

if you end up sticking with it, you'll natuarlly figure out how to imporove the quality or that it's not actually as bad as you thought

i can say definitively that pets showing up in sewing videos is usually considered a feature, not a bug

Pets in the videos are absolutely a feature and not a bug, look at Bernadette and Abby (and Marty/Scraps and Sequins for an example of a smaller YouTuber with pets)

Honestly the best thing to do is just do it

I've got a couple of folders of stuff that'll probably never see the light of day that I filmed before I started putting things up

Sooner or later you'll reach the stage where you feel comfortable with it, and that's when the editing comes in

Yeah the biggest hindrance is that my craft corner is more a craft pile right now

It has been seriously killing my vibe

A lot of channels started with a cleaning/organising video!

Yeah that is true

And frankly organizing videos is some of the most satisfying ones that I watch

Also Morgan Donner's new sewing room is making me want a dewing room myself

I have cloth waiting to go try doing some smocking patterns I bought.

I haven't even done the gridding...

So, yeah, trying to get things in order is icky. (it's also on the back burner because craft fair next month)
