Just out of curiosity - I mean really, just curiosity at this point - what games out there are active and take original characters? Becauuuse I don't play canon characters anymore. :c

Luckily most games are really friendly to OCs these days! I know this because I never play canon characters anymore either

The only one I looked at recently is TLV and it’s still adamantly no OC, so I just kinda petered out

Im only at Apocalypse How rn, which is a much smaller game with a chill pace but a very active metaplot / mod team

PERSONALLY SUPER LOVE IT (apps are actually open right now) because the plot's great, I don't feel at a disadvantage by having an OC (there's quite a few), and I genuinely can't keep up with...... most games due to my schedule

It's the most invested I've been in a game in a long time, and since the community is so small it's easy to feel like your character can actually get engaged with the plot/setting in a meaningful way
