The new one kind of kept that concept and then shoved it ten years into the characters' future? And the overarching mystery of the first season is what happened to the main character's (Liz Ortecho) sister. She apparently died of an overdose, killing two other girls who were in the car with her. But is that what really happened?

me, probably. I watched a few episodes of the original and couldn't get into it but I like dumb CW type shows so.

I LOVED the original so it took me a second to get into this one but after three eps... wow.
