Plurk, today I learned of an important disaster that was averted this week, the The Great Blahaj Discontinuation Scare of 2021

Blahaj, if you did not know, is a wonderful, reasonably priced friend made and sold by Ikea

Recently, it has apparently been difficult to obtain a Blahaj in certain EU countries (and the UK) and the Ikea UK twitter account said that Blahaj was to be discontinued in April 2022, at least for Europe

The internet would not stand for Blahaj extinction and campaigned to save our sharky bois

But it seems(?) to be a misunderstanding where the head press office confirmed there are no plans to discontinue the great and plush Blahaj

still, there DOES seem to be a supply chain issue, so the Blahaj seems to have become quite endangered in European regions

I myself do not own a Blahaj, but perhaps I should get one, as if I do not already have enough soft shark effigies

I just clicked without realizing what it was and OH THANK GOD. That would not stand if that was discontinued in this day and age.
