Backdrop for this: The US, UK and Australia have recently set up a security alliance, which includes 'the US and UK will build nuclear-powered submarines for Australia.' Australia was originally going to buy diesel submarines from France. France is understandably pissed.

This article was written in South Korea, so I think this statement is missing a price tag. But like. I'd be pissed too:

France was completely outraged. Its contract with Australia to build 77 trillion submarines was cancelled.

Actual USD value of the contract was $66 billion, so I think that should have been '77 trillion won.' But.

math: If we were still at 7 billion people on the planet, that would be 11,000 submarines each.

sooooo...consider that the population of Australia is around 25 million...how many subs could I, personally, have expected to receive here
