plurk is so unknown that it's less likely to be the target of a DOS attack, even though it does still attract some trolls and probably is exposed to some degree of internet hacking (or random breakage of servers wherever those reside).

allegedly the relevant server network was in California and part of the problem/delay was that the affected systems had also locked out the people who needed to fix everything (physically/virtually ?).
