I saw this! Since JMS is doing it, it should be interesting. Almost certainly a different energy, but he is good at finding talented people to inhabit his ideas. Personally, I think recasting the original roles sets actors up in a really difficult situation. Constant comparisons to Andreas Katsoulas and Stephen Furst in their roles will be really hard.

And Richard Biggs just dropped dead one day....

Meh. Unless it's a continuation of the story/other stories in that world, in which case (dance)
I have zero desire for a retelling of the story of B5 with different actors.
Wildstar
From what I am reading in several sites online it will be the same setting, the same universe, but a different storyline. I agree that a mere retelling would not be very interesting. The original one works just fine

In that case, if the actors can save us from JMS's terrible writing as in B5: (dance)(dance)(dance)

I think the main storyline of the original needs to be told again for those who were not paying attention the first time.

That can be done really quick in a short, 10 minute summary, I think.

OR they focus on presenting the characters in the first 3 episodes... and show each ones' past in a short view back and displaying what happened for each (either they were part in the previous story or were observing it, somehow, can be done nicely)

If they're going to do the original setting again, I'd love to see it done from the points of view of the other powers, a kind of Game of Thrones in space thing.

I've gotten a bit tired of reboots, but JMS is still writing it, so....

I kinda hope that Jason gets to be involved.
