Well, not sure Rarala will be able to complete the FFXV event...

I haven't yet tried it on my main characters, but I don't expect too much difficulty on Ririsa at least...

Unfortunately, Rarala is a Warrior who only just completed 2.0, and as such doesn't really have decent gear yet. And Warrior is often notoriously difficult to complete solo duties with.

Mind you, Rarala herself is doing fine in terms of sustaining herself. But if there's a way to keep Noctis from taking damage during certain phases, I haven't figured it out yet.

And it wouldn't be the first time where the problem was simply that I'm Not Doing Enough Damage.

(Specifically, it's the Garuda fight that's giving me issues.)

Hmm, though now that I look... Rarala's got a pretty shitty weapon at the moment. I haven't done any crafting yet here, but I can probably find something more level-appropriate.

I'd forgotten to pop my level 49 weapon coffer. Upgrading that made all the difference.

All of my characters have completed the event now. Beating the daemon on Normal doesn't seem too problematic once you get the hang of it, if you have decent gear (e.g. a level 48 weapon and level 50 job quest coffer gear, maybe a Hero's ring from early 2.1 quests), but Garuda might require going on Easy. Anyone with endgame gear can probably do Normal.

Krysslona's WAR had no difficulty in full Facet gear.

Which is already considered obsolete for 5.x

I punked Garuda on DRG with a mishmash of lvl80 job gear and random dungeon drops.

(Did fail it on AST, but that was because I messed up.)

I failed it on Normal with G'tomo's WHM, but I'm not sure if that's because I messed up the warp timing or just because I didn't have enough defense to weather the damage I was expected to take.

He did seem to get knocked to below half HP very easily in that fight on Normal.

Accidentally got caught in the big AoE (Mistral Shriek?) once and went from full HP to <10%

But yeah, seeing as he's a LONG way from access to even Ironworks gear, just doing it on Easy seemed the way to go.

It was accidentally getting caught in big AoE that screwed me over, too.

Then I decided that warping would work really well in conjunction with DRG's mobility focus.
