If there's anyone on my timeline interested in vegan baking, let me tell you about Karolina Tegelaar.

She is a Swedish woman who became vegan and promptly decided that vegan baked goods were not good enough. So she made it her goal to make vegan versions of baked goods, especially those notoriously difficult to make vegan, that were as close to their non-vegan counterparts as possible.

She then went around to Swedish publishers to see if anyone wanted to release her recipes in a baking book. No one was interested, so she went ahead and published the book herself.

Then international publishers were just like

HEY

HEY KAROLINA

WE WANT YOUR BOOK

GIVE US YOUR BOOK

So now it's being released in English under the title The Vegan Baking Bible.

It's a proper old school style book with tips and information about ingredients and how to use them etc

and so many recipes.

I own it in Swedish. Highly recommend.

I am not vegan but always willing to try new things. If it's recommended I'll keep an eye out for it being released

oh fun! im not vegan since it'd be even more ridiculously difficult with my pre-existing health issues but i do love trying plant based recipes

why people didn't want to publish it is beyond me, people are so weird about veganism

idk vegan cookbooks have been doing well so they might have thought baking would be too niche?

The Swedish book market is obviously not as big as a country like the US would be.

Buuut they definitely missed out
