farewell story is the first telling of kyoko and mami's backstory, and different story is the adaptation of it

i didnt think it was around on YT but i found a link on reddit, but only to the first part. the person who posted it said they cant find the rest of the parts, and i havent looked yet

commentary:

1. i love this opening. its such a good illustration of how creepy and hopeless it is to wander into a labyrinth as a normal human

2. the witch sounds SUPER CREEPY

3. baby kyoko's voice is SO SOFT. I'M DEAD!!!! SHE'S SO SOFT!!!!!!!!

4. even mami's voice is so much softer. the juxtaposition between this younger mami's voice and the voice we're used to hearing is KILLING me... kyoko and homura arent the only ones who hardened up...

5. hearing mami say "rosso phantasma" and kyoko stumble over repeating it, ahhhhhh omfg

6. kyoko really is so much like sayaka in this, it hurts. no wonder kyoko looked at sayaka and IMMEDIATELY saw herself, like, its. its so much

i wonder how much it pained mami when she was with sayaka, too
