My friend had a kidney transplant and I’m so worried about her. She’s so sweet and kind, and she keeps having complications- I haven’t seen her in 20+ years but still she’s one one my favorite people. Why do transplants have to be so damn dangerous.

My husband is being evaluated for transplant and I’m curious- because this is not the impression I’ve got from the info we’ve been given or from others I’ve spoken with. I hope your friend feels better soon.

My mom had a kidney pancreas transplant. The pancreas stopped working about 10 years in. The kidney is doing well.
