I pulled data from the housing and urban development website to do some linear regression testing

like "hey if a state is really big, I bet they spend more money on the people who need housing"

NOPE

you're basically at random

meanwhile

I do a multiple linear regression model because I'm curious to see, hey, if you're elderly or disabled or a woman who's head of your household, is it more likely your state spends more money on you

So elderly people have the best correlation. If your state has more old people, you probably have a better chance of getting more housing benefits

If you're a woman, there's no correlation. You're basically at random

If you're in a state with a lot of disabled people, the money you're likely to see goes down
