I've also been doing my best to beat Dark Deity. I don't even care about the story, I just want the stats to go up.

There's also no skip button for cutscenes...

The load times are also bad.

But I can't put it down?? It has some good ideas!

Also, I don't really have a hankering for soda anymore; I've been drinking sparkling water and trying to up my water intake in general.

So the one time I picked up a soda because I wanted sparkling water... I was like "yuk."

(It was mountain dew, which I'm general indifferent to)

Also, super interested in your thoughts on Dark Deity. I thought about buying it last summer sale but other things won out.

F E A S T So, hmm! The gameplay is fine. Nothing really to complain about. Some stuff isn't fully explained (like what the up and down arrows mean when they pop up on an enemy or ally.) and it lacks some quality of life things that more mainstream games like this have (a skip button, for example). It has some really nice varieties, but ultimately...

The answer to beating the whole game is magic.

I haven't beaten it yet, but yeah.

I gave the characters some time to see if I felt interested in the characters, and the answer is no. The game just throws them in without any proper build up and then expects you to like them?

Some characters slightly interest me, but not much.

Also, you start seeing enemy promoted units as early as chapter 3.... which is.. uh.. It makes those maps harder.

Because if you're using everyone, your tier 1 level 6/10.

(promotions occur at 10 and then again at 30)

It's a mixed bag and there's room for improvement.
