im gonna mostly yell about nyx but feel free to ask about others!

Nyx has a ton of scars in general, mostly from battles or from growing up playing in a river. his biggest one is the Lichtenberg scars on his upper right chest

we aren't presented with backstory and considering the coeurl motif he has, i like to pretend he tussled with a galahdian coeurl, since he was taught to hunt. he's lucky he's not dead, frankly

most of his other scars are on his hands, arms and legs, from battle, though he has a noticeable faded scar on his forehead

the production notes all but admit they made these to make nyx and libertus look "foreign/exotic" (their quote not mine). the only canon bit we get is that it does partially mark Nyx as a hunter

I borrow from a fic that the lines were also originally a rudimentary map, based on the island you came from. evolved over time, obviously, but it functions as a tribe marker

if someone found nyx dead in galahd, they'd know where to take him home to

THEY ARE VERY COOL LOOKING THO, and it's the first thing you kind of notice about him

i have debated letting him get piercings (especially nips like his model) but we'll see

ITS NOT A SCAR OR A TAT BUT I FELT THE NEED TO MENTION: he absolutely has body hair, unlike his cgi shots
