[Pets]/[Vet] I have to take Ayame to the vet on Sat and I already am feeling like I am betraying her.

It is for her own good, but at the same time, she hasn't been out of the apartment since she was brought here. Is she going to think we are going to abandon her somewhere again like she was before? dkfldjf

I hope I am worrying too much and she will take things just fine. She is a friendly cat, but the last time she was anywhere near other animals she was a stray.

pretty much. I am hoping she will take the the vet like she took to me and my friend. She just wanted attention and pets soooo much.

LOL I am hoping the vet will be female. I think she spooks around males more, but that might just be because they tend to be louder

Mochi is scared of everything and hates her carrier when it means going out (but likes to nap in it randomly lol) but she just gets super clingy with me and forgets about the betrayal after she's home and fed

I am hoping that feeding will be a magic forgiveness wand here too. She might just go under the bed and hide awhile which is okay. She's probably going to get shots and dewormer at least, so she may feel a little weird for a bit

at least I will finally have an idea of how old she is from people who know this stuff! LOL

take a T-shirt or some other item of clothing that belongs to you and put it in her travel container when you'll be going to the vet. This may help her feel safer, it def works for our cat

That is a good idea. There is something in there now, but it didn't come from my place. I should switch it out.

Yeah your scent should be a big help.

I am due to change the bedding, so since she likes to sleep by my pillows, I think I will just pull one of the pillowcases and put it in there for her. Hopefully that will make her feel better
