dragon time
Me like two weeks ago: man, gratuitous revenge stories are such a drag, talk about self indulgent
Me now, reading revenge classroom: oh man this is absolutely bonkers I have to read it ALL
dragon time
Cw: bullying, gaslighting, sexual assault, suicide
dragon time
This one is about a teenage girl who is remorselessly bullied and it opens with her being pushed into traffic, surviving, and subsequently snapping
dragon time
She starts off using all the dirt she's acquired to do her best to ruin the lives of everyone in class
dragon time
Two of them end up dying as an accidental consequence
dragon time
And she concludes that well shit I actually feel bad about those two
dragon time
Therefore I have to make everyone else in class dead or worse, sunk cost fallacy who
dragon time
It's absolutely wild
dragon time
They've split up the class between various schools and she is light deathnoting her way into retaliation because nothing gets these assholes off the hook
dragon time
There's some sort of conspiracy behind the bullying campaign
dragon time
There's SEVERAL other people who also seem to be trying to murder everyone
dragon time
Prior to her kill them all change of tactics she set up a fucking spike pit trap for one of the class rapists and made him eat a dead rat on pain of otherwise being buried alive
Quinneapolis
the "girl decides to just go apeshit" genre
Princess Emily
I mean from the description, it sounds like the work is aware that the girl is going above and beyond normal and that's the appeal
Princess Emily
whereas most works in the revenge genre are "this is reasonable and you're all supposed to be unironically thinking the protagonist is right and virtuous in killing everybody they know"
dragon time
She went SO apeshit
dragon time
She suffered a crisis of conscience and put two people in a Saw trap which she then set on fire
dragon time
We see them in physical therapy in the epilogue
Quinneapolis
Anime: "This boy is getting bloody revenge on his enemies"
Anime: "Isn't this guy cool?"
Me: "No, he sucks"
Quinneapolis
Anime: "This girl is getting bloody revenge on her enemies"
Anime: "Doesn't this girl suck?"
Me: "No, she rules"
dragon time
This is true
dragon time
I got burnt out on yanderes for a bit and now I'm back into it but now I'm REALLY into girls out for platonic revenge these days
dragon time
I want a nice variety of melodramas and a lot of vaguely karmic but buck wild murder methods
dragon time
Pumpkin Night had the most absolute Jason of an antagonist (?)
dragon time
It started off with this girl going absolutely apeshit on a selection of classmates who it had turned out burned her face with this acid filled pumpkin
dragon time
And the more the viewpoint character finds out about this horrible incident the more he's like "oh that is valid actually I'm not helping you assholes not get murdered by Pumpkin Joker"
dragon time
She does keep murdering doctors tho she is not a good person
dragon time
OTOH she is a very fun to watch person
