I received the following in the mail from the SSA:

- an acknowledgement that I sent them an appeal, with a number to call and the name of a human along with it

- an acknowledgement that I had sent them one of the three forms I sent them as per their request, and a request for me to (re)send a release form

and,

wait for it,

- two (2) applications for a Social Security card by two fuckers I've never heard of who apparently emigrated to the US from the United Arab fuckin Emirates

that were stamped and signed by Social Security

my wifes the dependent of our disabled brother-in-law and when she signed him up for SS and submitted herself as a caretaker they also set her up as a caretaker to some random person in half the country over

so I 100% believe they'd do this -- Which would be okay if they didn't have it so that contacting them and fixing stuff like this wasn't such a pain
