[Symphogear] man

of all things i did not expect garie to go out like a chump

i mean i know it's part of the master plan

(of which i am pretty sure elfnein is the real mastermind and ignite mode is actually part of it)

but damn

it's one of my recurring frustrations with symphogear storywise

that it loves doing everything it can to keep every single character alive

but robots don't count

i'm surprised hibiki like

didn't put up a fight about it

YEAH.

It makes her characterization weird

robots just Aren't People in some unspecified way

especially after her whole early arc this season was "I CANNOT FIGHT A PEOPLE???" while the autoscorers despite being robots are. pretty clearly people

so we aren't expected to care when they die

YOU GET IT

I thought I was going crazy when all that happened and just

NOTHING

everybody is 100% down with chopping people in half as long as those people are robots

when i complained about it in one of my plurks somebody said something about like "well they can't bloat the cast forever" and while that might be true from a doylist perspective, there are still other ways?

at least make the heroes be torn up about it or something come on

also like fuck they can't

bleach has like four times the cast size of symphogear

yeah, like letting people live and even like poking their heads in occasionally is a lot different from "and now the autoscorers live in SONG HQ and involve themselves in every conflict" or something
