the postman has finally deigned to deliver the package from last week for which I had to reschedule a delivery several days later for no good reason at all.

it fitted perfectly well through the letterbox and he(?) popped it through this time without needing me to come and sign for it or even be visible.

last time he(?) didn't even bother to ring the doorbell, just posted through a card without any valid explanation for why the package hadn't been delivered and ran away. I wasn't out. I was waiting in complete silence upstairs all the time between one check of the mat and the next.

judging by previous occasions when I've caught them in the act or they've put a completely fake time on the card, they don't even bother to bring the parcels with them but always intend to just pretend you're out and sometimes mis-guess the time they'll arrive (eg I had witnesses to their lie in the lobby at the stated time).

it's a type of fraud - taking money under false pretences for a job not actually done.

now have to wait yet another day while the package is in quarantine.

humans are scum (to a first approximation).
