Specifically: Playing Assassin's Creed makes me look for parkour possibilities on the street, when I have NO intention of walljumping off the grocery store
I did a marathon session of one of the assassins creed games once when I was younger, and when I went out into the real world again I physically ducked to hide from someone wearing all red out of instinct
I also got the tetris effect bad after playing the Witness. and I'm not sure if it's dumb, but I did straight up name myself after my favourite Supergiant game
seconding the tetris references. when I first started out at my job at Fedex as a package handler I constantly referred to loading trailers as "playing Trailer Tetris"
we do what we must" and mentally adding "because we can"anyway his "you don't need a reason to help people" is the longest effect any vg's had on me. it springs up in my mind v frequently.
