throwback thursday! ask me stuff about juuzou or near's pasts. validate me on my unhealthy need to put way too much thought into my characters and their backgrounds.
Near i don't think gets embarrassed easily, but i think pre and post mello at the orphanage he would feel ashamed about not... knowing things that he should? he is a very quick learner by observation and imitation, but there would definitely be times where something very mundane that he SHOULD know is amiss?
as you know he was not paid attention to as a baby. at all. he was late on pretty much everything education and social wise but was an incredible catch up. post mello he was a lot better than he was, but especially with mello there if he got something wrong...
like... i dunno, for example how to properly use a fork or something, the added pressure of getting something wrong that children his age SHOULD know would embarass him. inwardly, of course. he doesn't go red in the face or anything like that.
for juuzou I honestly liked the chat we had about him getting leftover bones as treats LOL. but that would probably be 'just abuse' considering, you know. eating human parts.
he has one hell of a sweet tooth and it makes me wonder whether he was allowed candies, very sparsely, as a treat and is now overindulging because he CAN. maybe during rei time if he had been especially good.
his mama lives a very decadent lifestyle so maybe he could even get grapes or strawberries once in a while if she shared! this also only during rei time, to keep the scrapper/trophy pet split.
it sounds like a lot of things but it would have been like. very spread out, super sparse. he sure wasn't showered in sweet fruits and candies whilst living as a pet lmao
