Hmmm. My workplace is apparently allowing a "9/80" work schedule for the devs. You work 9 hour days over 9 days and you get Friday off every two weeks. Only drawback is PTO time goes a bit out of whack as a side effect as you're using 9 hours PTO instead of 8 for a vacation day.

I'm pondering whether it's worth it. Seeing as I'd be working from home 5 of the 9 days and thus there's no commute. To be honest if I could take the extra day off Wednesday I'd jump on it instantly as a mid-week day off would feel better for my mental health than a 3 day weekend.

You should ask about it.

It is more helpful when you commute but also it's not a bad thing overall if you're interested. I used to do a 10 hour day, four day a week work schedule at one job and loved it.

I've also done 4 by 10 and I'd enjoyed it, but this is a bit different, overall. Hm..
