BruberryMuffin
[GIMP vs. Photoshop] Plugin to make the first look like the second.

So, I know the one issue I had when transferring to GIMP was that I'd used Photoshop and was really familiar with the layout and while GIMP had all of the tools I was used to, they weren't necessarily in the same places. Now, while I know there's a debate on the acronym (why I switched to Glimpse), this may have me changing back.

Why swapping away from PS?
BruberryMuffin
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
: Oh, no. Switching from Glimpse which is a fork of GIMP. To get away from the unforunate acronym.
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Oooohhh. But why not just use photoshop if ur used to it?
BruberryMuffin
Because I'd have to pay for it?
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Oooh. I'm dumb. I thought you had both.
BruberryMuffin
No, no. I used a, uh, 'free' version for a while maybe 10 years ago, but I became really comfortable with the layout.
BruberryMuffin
And I know other people have the same issue.
𝒲𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒮𝑜𝓁𝒹𝒾𝑒𝓇
Yeah, I've been avoiding/procrastinating installing my 'free' version on my new laptop, even though I have about a dozen things I want to do. I've tried using GIMP before, but like you said, the layout just threw me off too much. I'm definitely gonna look into this.
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
I use free versions and can easily upload them for those who need them

space witch
oh neat
space witch
I'm just paying for PS at present because I couldn't get used to GIMP

: Yeah, like, when I hunt down what I'm looking for, I can find what I want in GIMP, but it's a bit more of a hunt.
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
I'm toooooo broke
❝marti❞
Can you draw lines in PS? That's the only thing about Glimpse I don't like
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Like using a line tool? If so, then yes.
❝marti❞
aw man
❝marti❞
Unfortunately there is zero budget for PS
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Yo I'm just gonna be that guy and tell you to pirate it.
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Also, if you're doing art as opposed to photo manipulation I would recommend Clip Studio Paint.
❝marti❞
Oh, no, I use Krita for plain old art
𝕲𝖗𝖆𝖓𝖙
Fair enough, I just can't recommend CSP enough haha
