But the tl;dr abt it is that Lorelai Gilmore is a single mother who ran away from her uber-privileged parents when she got pregnant. Now she's raising her teenage daughter in small town Connecticut, and has to re-enter her parents life when she needs money to get her daughter into private school.

It's very much a show about the closeness of Lorelai and her daughter, Rory. And for the time, had a lot to say about privileged elites up north.

I think an AU of that can focus on the Edelgard + Dimitri + their mom family and the Jeralt + Byleth family

two families that would have very complicated relationships with the local elites

who knows, maybe Dimitri will actually go to therapy

There's also a subplot abt Rory trying to get on the school paper at said private school and gets stonewalled by a super ambitious girl at her school.

(They eventually grow close, but that's in later seasons.)
