hmm. got this email, seems like a sign that YouTube doesn't want to pay small creators anymore. makes dreaming of a career in the platform a lot less enticing.

basically nullifies the ability of channel owners to monetize viral videos they made or share. now, YouTube can choose to use your viral content without getting you as a partner. in the old days, commercials in you videos = revenue. with this, YouTube basically hand picks who gets paid. this new rule sucks.

until such time that YT will have this right to share monetization on every video to it's creator.
