meanwhile i'm stressed because the pest control company missed the appointment i made for them to come out literally two weeks ago and i have not been able to get in touch with them

they've been especially swamped during covid and i feel bad continuing to call and bug them, but i just want some communication!! acknowledgment that i am on some sort of list to be gotten to eventually, and i'm not just screaming into the ether!!!

i am still on the list, they're swamped with bat emergencies, and the rain last week set them back a lot

- a call to their answering service which netted me a "okay we will pass on your question to the office and you should get a call back within a day"

- me waiting several days in order to not be a nag, then calling back

like my situation is not an emergency, i recognize that, i was in no way asking for them to drop everything and rush to my house NOW NOW NOW

but i don't think it's unreasonable to want or expect a "hello we know we missed our appointment at your place, things are very backed up but we haven't forgotten you"
