You can't say people aren't engaged, if they ask questions. They ask questions because the story caught them.

They had me. The answer to the specific question is "if they try to fly there on eagles, they'd get seen and killed." But then they had to go on.

The answer is not "it is what it is, don't ask questions."

It is wrong to completely discredit a story because of questions. But asking "why do Star Wars ships go pew pew in the vacuum of space" is reasonable to ask.
