Hello to our intrepid Hatchlings! Our Early Access Reserves are now live! Please expand this plurk to read the details about this process and what it means for you!

As we mentioned on our TDM, we are allowing people that have a single AC-length proof ( either 5 log style comments OR 10 network style comments) to reserve one day early! This is our way of saying thank you to the lovely people who have contributed to making our first TDM so fun!

As our cast caps are relatively small, we will only be allowing reserves up to the threshold of our caps - both our 40 player cap and our cast cap of 5. A reminder that any iteration of a canon falls under that cast umbrella - so Marvel 616 characters will count towards the overall Marvel cap!

Due to this, we know there may be a chance of some people being disappointed or missing out on a chance to reserve and we would like to explain our plan for caps going forward. We will not be 'raising' caps unilaterally across the board (never say never! but for right now) however: we have decided that we will allow cast caps to be 'broken'

- in the future by players who have established themselves in game and participated in two AC Bonus Rounds. This means a minimum of six months in game, and an AC Reward must be used to redeem a cap-break.

We understand this may seem like a daunting investment of time, but we wanted to explain our reasoning for it: essentially, we are trying to ensure that the game grows at a rate we as a moderator team are equipped to handle! Given that we are hoping to offer customizable plot engagement options as the game progresses

this means keeping a close eye and a steady hand on our projected growth!

hi mods!! is it necessary for OCs to reserve, or are reserves just for characters and not player spots?

We have discussed this among the mod team and decided that this strikes a fair compromise between our cap limit and our desire to ensure our players don't feel confined by the cap!

allan. : Hello! We would recommend reserving OCs just in case our reserves go near to our player cap of 40. Better to be safe!

Normal reserves will open tomorrow at the same time unless we have hit our player cap, in which case they will remain closed until apps open. Reservers will have first 'dibs' on applying, but if there are reserves expiring with no submitted application we will open our apps to everyone at that time as well!

If anyone needs further clarity on the matter, please ask! (The mods can only drink so much caffeine...)

Not directly relevant to me but I was wondering: I noticed the reserves don't rquire you to say whether a character's OU or CRAU. How is that gonna be handled re: the limited CRAU slots / doubling up on characters via OU/CRAU?

if anyone is planning a CRAU and has posted their comment without specifying, please edit it or reply to our mod comment to reflect it!

If your reserve was posted before 9:23 PST and intended to be a CRAU, we will honor it and grandfather you in even if it was over our CRAU cap. This was our oversight and we don't want to punish anyone for it! Our apologies!

allan. : Unfortunately, not at this time. We're using our AC rules to specify which threads are eligible - but our early access reserves are open for 24 hours, so if you can get a thread to AC length (5 log comments/10 network) before that, you should be good!
