Binged all of Shadow and Bones in one go last night and didn't do much tags.

I can't make up my mind on Aleksander based on the show. I need to watch more or read the books to figure out if he's pure evil or if he's a fanatic leader with his heart the right place.

But I can't stress how awesome shadow powers are.

That sounds like fun. I always played with that type of thing in video games and stuff.

I really do recommend the books because they're so good. but personally I think Aleksander is a case of "had his heart in the right place at first but then went down the wrong path", at least in the show. I think they tried to make him more sympathetic

which isn't a bad thing to do with villains but it's Questionable given a lot of his actions in the books

Lothirien : Yeah. The show really tried to make him sympathetic, why I can't make up my mind on him yet.
