sal: his mother's death hit him super hard considering he was five, witnessed it, and feels incredible guilt for it bc she died saving him. so yeah that literally haunts him. his father.......had a pretty bad alcohol problem and was neglectful, and sometimes sal ended up being the one to take care of him. he got better for a time and then..........
