a couple months ago croissant cookie was released, alongside an event about time travel. the main antagonist of the event was timekeeper cookie, the newest legendary
and then they were confirmed to be the same person, but croissant was young and idealistic while timekeeper was cynical and no longer cared about things like "morals" if it meant being entertained. croissant convinced timekeeper to fucking chill out a bit eventually, and the two just had a very.... very intense and odd dynamic
We're PRETTY sure the Witch isn't human, btw. WAY WAY long ago, there were Witches (evil) and Wizards (good) and both had GOBS of magic. Cookies were made by Witches to begin with, in their magic ovens. The Wizards made some Cookies too... but eventually the magic ovens were able to be used BY COOKIES, and this did NOT sit well with the witches.
The Witches started destroying the ovens, which is why there's only one now as far as we know. There are no Wizards left (their city remains, though! it gets visited occasionally during events) and only one Witch.
