Back To The Future Pitch Meeting

I have never seen this movie yet somehow I've never fully heard the full buckwild plot stated so plainly

I would never have guessed that a chunk of the plot was "marty's mom is super into him and marty is super not into that"

kinda makes me wonder why this got so popular

Yeah this movie has a soft place in my heart and there are things i genuinely enjoy about it but Oof, this really passed for a good movie premise in the 80's huh

(altho i will say as someone who read the first draft a part of me was a little disappointed that the video wasn't about that buckwild thing)

y'know suddenly this makes that one episode of futurama make sense

I'm so enlightened now
