Like, its actually making me uncomfortable to think of it

Like obviously the idea of a world where everyone's desires are granted is pretty stupid

but it feels unbearably cruel to take away someone's loved one for the second time

And like, the whole point of Morgana's speech at the end of the previous boss fight was that your perception defines your reality

So like, we are taking away something very REAL from them, by those standards

Honestly, by the standards presented by the game, the only issue I would have with Maruki's reality is the lack of consent. If people opted into his reality I don't think I'd have a problem with it at all. (I had the same feeling about the Avatar plot back in Charmed)

Its not like he'd have a shortage of volunteers, realistically.

Like, I get the point the game is probably going to try to make about this and about facing your pain and/or reality, that doesn't change the fact that ruining your friend's happiness and taking away their loved ones because YOU think its wrong is a shitty thing to do.

Both the MC AND Maruki seem to think they should be the arbiters of the "right" reality and its very arrogant either way.

If "Kasumi" decides thats how she wants to live her life, thats her choice and its not really our place to "save" her from it. I don't think its healthy, but its literally her life, her decision.

I just wish these situations werent always "WE HAVE TO DESTROY THE REALITY WHERE PEOPLE ARE HAPPY BECAUSE ITS NOT REAL" and could have a more nuanced discussion on the topic.
