Double up! Have I ever made you ship a thing? And platonic touch questions!
Shard
Just in case anybody wants to.

2. what (if any) is a good, safe touch for your character?
God, hugs. Hugs are such a thing with him and canon does not give him enough. Also, claps on the back and shoulder to shoulder.
Shard
5. is your character better at receiving touch or giving it? under what circumstances?
Sam is good at both, but given that Dean is basically a gold medal winner in the Emotional Repression Olympics, he's definitely more likely to give than receive.
Shard
7. how does your character react to being hit? are they likely to continue a fight if someone else starts it, or try to de-escalate or get away?
Most of the things that are likely to fight him aren't the kind you can just run away from. Sam will absolutely stand his ground and give as good as he gets.
Shard
10. are there any gestures or touches that your character shares with a friend/team/loved one that are a type of code between them?
Not...really. Not that I can think of off the top of my head, at least. The Winchesters don't really do much of the whole touch thing.
Shard
Though Dean handing over the keys to the Impala is about as big a gesture of trust as can happen.
Shard
14. if your character needed to communicate peaceful or helpful intentions to someone else through touch, how would they go about doing that?
Oof. Again, touch not always the easiest for a Winchester. That plus visual and spoken media. Probably something gentle, though. Hand on the shoulder or elbow, somewhere none threatening.

3. what kind of touch is not comfortable or generally unwanted by your character?
Hair touching. I mean, that's a bubble thing to begin with, but hair touching is definitely not platonic for him and that's uncomfy making real quick.
Shard
8. high fives, yes or no?
Abso-fucking-lutely.
Shard
11. how does your character’s relationship with touch change if they get tipsy or otherwise chemically unbalanced?
Sam is not a happy drunk. He doesn't get more standoffish or anything, but he does get morose and more likely to keep to himself.
Shard
Of course, the fact that he can't even talk about some things without getting drunk may have something to do with it.
