I believe you! i've just... this is the first i'm seeing this
Catgirl Crimes
Hahah it's crazy - Literally why I'm afraid to try oil paint
Catgirl Crimes
I'm assuming it's the same with this stain because it has the same warning as oil paints (Which is actually because of the thinners) that you might have to find a waste disposal place?

I just wanted my light wood to be slightly darker wood

Oh, yeah, you don't wanna leave rags that have been soaked in stain out in the sunlight. Or just out sitting on their own, period.

thankfully I haven't started the project yet, but i'll have a bucket of water next to me when I do now
medieval grunge
oh yeah i used to work at a woodworking place where they had a fire because of this
medieval grunge
they say immediately but you have like a few minutes
medieval grunge
just dont leave it out for an hour, bc that will blow up for sure

When I was working with my grandpa's painting company (when it was still a thing) we'd make it a point to always stain the doors inside in the shade for that reason. Bought a little more time for if something came up unexpectedly and you had to leave it for a few minutes.

We also kept the used rags in the center of the room on the bare concrete floor, too. So that even if they flared up anyway somehow, there was nothing around for the fire to spread to.

y'all are making me nervous to use this now
