Nutrition is important for fitness. Leaving out meals can be bad.

Not a problem for me. I should skip more meals. I think I could skip a few days without feeling hungry. Mind you I wouldn't skip breakfast and I wouldn't skip my afternoon fruit.

Getting older my basic metabolism is slowing but I never reduced my food input. . . . you can guess the result :-P

I can relate to the Starting from Zero part... but not to the doing anything about it part. :'-(
