so I filed my taxes in mid February, haven't gotten my return yet, and being me, it took me a little while to actually call the IRS (thanks anxiety).. so I just called, and they said my call couldn't be taken at this time due to high call volume so I feel like I wasted some spoons for today and now I need comfort food

idk if you've checked the website already but Get Refund Status

whenever I check, it says my return is still being processed

in that case I wouldn't worry, if something came up and flagged it, you'd see an update lke "Under Review - Further information needed" or something

I was audited nearly every year i claimed my brother as my dependent because it seemed suspicious that neither of his parents were claiming him lol so i had to go through the whole rigmarole every time, and there is always some kind of update that will pop up if there are actually issues or delays or anything

okay, that's good to know! I just think I'm nervous about it because this is my first year ever filing my taxes lol
