Naoto wouldn't know for sure. Yeah, he's got the Eye of the Hunter (life force indicator for those who don't know) and he knows when people are going to either live a long life or die rather quickly but he doesn't know what goes after.
Naoto wants problems done quick, yeah, but will also try to find the most efficient way as well! I think that most in the fandom reduce Naoto to just "shounen protag" when honestly he has a lot more braincells than a lot of the bb cast yes that does include ragna and i love ragna
