I had a big fibroadenoma removed in 2017, and this one feels very similar, so... Probably-hopefully the same thing. Benign tumor.

I got an appointment for a little later this morning, so at least it's being speedily dealt with!

What happened with the last one was basically... I got an ultrasound and it was assumed to be benign, then I had to go back and have it re-measured after six months. It was growing, so they biopsied it and arranged to have it removed.

So. I'm pretty sure this'll be the same thing, but it's nonetheless unfun!

plus, it's still money that i'll have to pay (probably) if I wind up having to have it removed.

I was on Medicare in NJ because I was a full-time student, but now I'm just on the loose and unemployed, though I'll probably have reliable income by the time I'd have to have surgery.

Mostly, I'm just aggravated if this is just a THING my boobs are gonna do for the rest of my life, haha.

yyes. thank y'all. I got recc'd for an ultrasound and there's a state program to help pay for various screenings, so. I was worried about cost, but it looks like I'mma be good up to a point.

My unemployment claim was finally filed, so that's a load off. And I have an ultrasound and mammogram scheduled for Friday, which should be paid for by a state grant program.

They said they cover through diagnosis, so idk what'll happen if/when I have to have another little lump surgery, but it's a start and it gives me time to figure shit out!

I guess once one has a cancer diagnosis, there's state medicare for cancer patients. I don't thiiiink that'll apply to me, but I'd still have to have a surgery maybe, so... who knows!

I'm really going to start getting annoyed if I have to fly into a small panic about my boobs every 3-5 years, haha.

Last time, they sent me a notice stating that I have dense breast tissue, and therefore may be more susceptible to breast cancer/detection may be more difficult, so. Now every boob thing is just IMMEDIATE BOOB PANIC.
