Vergil would probably be like, the most fiercely loyal companion one could have, but that's a tough nut to crack after spending a lifetime closing himself off to literally everyone

Mikasa, likewise, would be fiercely loyal to her companion, but she's dealt with so many ultra shitty people in her life that building that kind of trust with her is a long term investment

Dante is fun garbage and there's never a dull moment, but aside from him being a dumbass and a slob, having a target on his back painted by the entire demon world is an understandable roadblock

Matilda has you covered for doing wholesome shit, but there is the whole "she's actually a dragon" thing that was problematic at home. Probably not a problem for potential companions, though.
