Villain
SUPERHEROES
Villain
Princess Emily made up a superheroverse
Villain
Reality switches back and forth between Logic/Reason and Myths/Magic
Villain
Back in the 70s, it started swinging back towards myths/magic
Villain
And we got teams of superheroes
Villain
who used their newfound magic to protect the earth
Villain
Now, however, those original heroes have gotten really set in the idea that they're the Good Guys
Villain
so whatever they do is Good
Villain
Good™
Villain
And have been taking increasingly draconian measures to keep the peace
Villain
AND SO A NEW TEAM IS BORN
Villain
Of younger heroes who aren't quite so willing to compromise on their morals
Villain
And I am supplying this team with the Team Dad
Villain
Back in the 1500s, before the magic went to sleep entirely, there was an Eastern European folk hero.
Villain
A man who fought against the corrupt nobles and clergy that kept the peasants and commoners in suffering
Villain
With stealth and fear and clever tools
Villain
And, when that wasn't enough, with dark magic he got from a deal with the devil
Villain
Which was his undoing. When the magic finally went back to sleep, so did he
Villain
When he finally woke up in the mid 2010s, he found that even though almost 600 years had passed, the rich and powerful still used their influence to keep the helpless in a stranglehold
Villain
And also that 600 year long smear campaign had made his very name associated with evil and suffering:
Villain
Dracula
Villain
Dracula is not really like all the legends of him we have
Villain
I haven't really figured out what his actual powers are
Villain
But his role on the team is to be the Team Dad, and also the perpetual fish out of water
Villain
As he has no knowledge of the 21st Century

Villain
A dork who no one respects most of the time because he doesn't really understand how the modern world works
Villain
But then he actually cuts loose and everyone's like "Holy shit um"
Villain
Someone scary, who uses fear as a weapon
Villain
But who is ultimately still a hero
Villain
An antihero but like
Villain
antihero still has the word "hero" in it
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
[enchant voice] so hey where are the hot lesbian vampires can you hook a girl up
Princess Emily
the key point has to be like
Princess Emily
the Established Heroes are the type who will willingly bust up a city in a fight in order to make sure the Big Bad gets taken down
Princess Emily
but the OC Cast are the ones who will go out of their way to make sure nobody dies
Villain
Right
Villain
Drac is willing to kill people
Villain
But he's not willing to let people die
Villain
There's an important distinction there
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
also consider
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
what vlad did and how he did it, historicallu
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
maybe his deal with the devil power is just
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
he can make people be afraid of him
Villain
I think he does have some actual magics
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
he can just like, make people feel intense fear
Villain
But that's a strong angle
Villain
But lemme take that a step further
Villain
He can't just cause fear
Villain
What he can do is inherently know what people are afraid of
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
"let's see... devil, what is mehmed ii most afraid of?"
"ten thousand men impaled on pikes"
"... ok"
Villain
That's part of the smear job
Villain
He only impaled a FEW people
Villain
maybe that was like his signature thing
Villain
For people he decided to kill
Villain
leaving them impaled somewhere his enemies would find them
Princess Emily
stake through the heart
Princess Emily
:V
Villain
Perfect
Villain
Dracula staked people as a method to spread fear
Villain
I think his powers are "Instinctively knows what people are afraid of" and "general shadow fuckery"
Echo
Dracula absolutely would kill the Joker, but he would never even risk bruising a civilian.
Villain
Like you can't really put specific rules on it
Villain
Sometimes shit just happens when it's dark
Villain
TO his advantage
Villain
Sometimes you shoot into the shadow you saw him in and you KNOW you should have hit him
Villain
But he's fine
Villain
Sometimes he's somewhere you don't expect
Villain
How did he get there?
Villain
Listen
Villain
Don't question it
Villain
The blood drinking thing is PURE propoganda
Villain
Never happened
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
listen
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
you impale a dude through the heart and blood is just gonna get everywhere.
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
that's like, literally the heart's whole purpose.
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
if some gets on a dude's face
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
and you're so terrified you think the blood landing on his general mouth area looks like drinking it
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
sometimes you say some shit
Villain
There was a guy
Villain
who was scared of vampires
Villain
Drac leaned into it
Villain
The story got carried away
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
there we go
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
and that man's name was bram stoker
Villain
(Realistically probably someone in the 1400s)
Princess Emily
Van Helsing
Villain
What if Van Helsing is one of the old generation of heroes
Villain
in some form
Villain
Maybe not the original Van Helsing but like
Princess Emily
I don't think sleeping and coming back with the magic cycle is normal for most people-people outside of certain mythological sorts or Dracula-ish immortals (wait is he immortal) but also
Villain
Some guy who calls himself Van Helsing
Princess Emily
this is superhero comics based, so,
Villain
Maybe Van Helsing's great grandchild
Echo
Maybe a descendent of Jonathan Harker?
Echo
Since they actually did have a kid in the original novel- they named him Quincy after the American guy Dracula killed.
Villain
DID Dracula briefly wake up in the late 19th century?
Villain
I think it makes the most sense for Bram Stroker's book to just be a work of fiction
Villain
based on the smear campaign against Drac
Princess Emily
yeah that scans
Villain
But I like the presence of a legendary monster hunter in the antagonist force
Villain
Who sees Dracula as like his Moby Dick
Princess Emily
I mean we potentially have Orion he's a monster hunter of sorts
Villain
Okay
Villain
lemme run an idea past you:
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
orion is a nemesis to a lot of characters
Villain
Orion has a LONG history
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
a monster hunter for dracula
orion's entire everything for artemis
a fuckboy for enchant
Villain
of fighting monsters
Villain
And Van Helsing is one of Orion's descendants
Villain
hmmm
Villain
I kinda want to work Bad Guy Van Helsing into this but I'm not QUITE sure it makes sense
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
van helsing
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
ALSO made a deal with the devil
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
... or maybe an angel
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
to forever slay monsters
Villain
oh shit
Villain
THERE we go
Villain
Dracula knows your fear psychological weakness
Villain
Van Helsing knows your physical weakness
Villain
Thus, how he knows how to kill monsters
NekoInc, MSPM
Oh I like this
Villain
He woke up in the 70s while Drac woke up in the 10s
Villain
so Van Helsing has a 40 year head start on him
Villain
He was like
Villain
a church inquisitor type
Princess Emily
that's good
Villain
For the record his name IS Vlad Tepes
Villain
Dracula was like his superhero alterego name
Villain
And I think means "Dragon" in Romanian or something
Villain
Van Hesling must have some vague light powers to counteract Drac's vague dark powers
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
'son of the dragon', i believe
Villain
Thank you that was it
Princess Emily
what about light constructs
Princess Emily
a monster slayer who can make any tool or weapon he needs
Villain
sorta hard-light projections
Villain
His BIG thing is like
Villain
He has an organization
Villain
Kinda speedwagon foundation-esque
Villain
But they're just as interested in preserving the status quo as they are in actually fighting evil
Villain
Started out with the best of intentions but now they take all kinds of jobs
Villain
For like corporations or corrupt governments trying to keep people in order
Villain
All in the name of "peace"
Villain
and "order"
Villain
Vlad’s favorite things about the 21st century:
Villain
- ice cream
Villain
- non alcoholic drinks that don’t make you sick
Villain
- cell phones
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
does he in fact show up in mirrors
Villain
He does
Villain
He deadass is not a vampire
Villain
He was confused the first time someone brandished garlic at him
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
"ugh what is that SMELL"
"aha THIS IS YOUR WEAKNESS"
"uhhhhhh i mean i guess i sure don't like it, it fucking reeks"
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
and then someone introduces him to garlic bread and he has to take a full fucking week for his emotional crisis of how can something smell so awful and yet taste so good
Villain
Hannah do you think garlic smells bad?
moontouched
garlic smells delicious tho :-(
Villain
IT DOES
ғᴏxʏᴍᴏʀᴏɴ
garlic breath does anyway
