GOD OKAY I finished watching it

slaps a spoiler warning onto this plurk

I feel like we're really starting to dig into the absurd and silly nature of kaiju films and I couldn't be more for it

so the movie focused way more on Kong than godzilla, which. yeah, I'm down for that. Kong needed more lore than Godzilla did, and it's a lot easier to follow his character

and even though Godzilla won their actual fight, I'm shocked how even they managed to make it

and mechagodzilla was clunky and robotic and wonderful

...god though

in terms of human casts

the Kong cast was way better than the Godzilla one

it wasn't even Millie Bobby Brown's guyfriend, but the conspiracy guy was the most annoying person to me

but I might just be extremely tired of conspiracy theorist, since..... gestures at the world.
