so my mum, 67 years old, high-risk because of chronic lung-related illnesses and some other stuff, is not eligible for vaccination yet (she's a few years too young)
her brother (who is younger, but has a bunch of disabilities including one that gives him less... lung volume?) is eligible because of that, and she's officially his caretaker
some bureaucratic hiccup, apparently, where mum's (and my uncle's) doctor was 100% sure they were both eligible but as it turns out, the doctor was 100% wrong and now my mum has to wait for an unspecified future time when her age group will become eligible.
BUT
(of course it takes time to build up actual immunity but her body will be able to get started on that so soon!)
