these must be daily averages because it is absolutely going stronger than 25mph rn; i need to go to the store but with what we have now i would not put my car on the road

ah yes, this feels more accurate

me: "i like living in the woods surrounded by trees!"

also me: "no wait i changed my mind"

i know i've been plurking about this a lot but this has been by far the windiest month i've seen in 15+ years of living here

neighbor Donna who's lived here for 40+ years agrees

back for now, but i suspect it's going to keep flickering; the hourly forecast says it's going to be like this all day

i probably will brave the roads at some point so let's hope felled trees don't block my route home at any point haaaahahaha

yikes! stay safe, hoping your local trees are all very sturdy

so many have come down in the woods already; i didn't bring my phone on my last walk or i would have taken pics

there's one gigantic one that was ripped out of the ground at the roots, and the base (now tilted sideways) is nearly taller than i am

it's also not completely felled and is leaning on another tree, so if that one goes they both go

(this is all distanced from the house, thankfully)
