i would have hella problem with that house XD. they could put in a ridiculous light fixture? paper disco ball? wtf? but no cabinetry or a hidden pantry?
i miss upper cabinets......... my current apartment has One narrow upper cabinet for spices and stuff and one other for bowls/plates/cups and boy it is just not enough
the 'no upper cabinets for you' design style is solely for aesthetics and doesn't think about people who maybe possibly can't get on their hands and knees to rummage through the lower cabinets
is that glass? my mom has railing like that too, it's some sort of plexi-type material that's meant to prevent kids and dogs from sticking their heads between the bars
the large amount of space between everything, the knobs on the stove all being at the front instead of the back, the lack of upper cabinets all point to being wheelchair accessible.
I was looking at this thinking of my old roomie who can't reach her upper cabinets anyway. she's got some drawers installed even in her regular lower cabinets to make pulling things out easier
advantage to no upper cabinets is it means everything is in reach for the wheelchair bound person. they don't have to call anyone to get something out of a high cabinet.
